The Great Kathmandu
Founded in 1986 The Great Kathmandu is another Didsbury institution that the locals rave about. Not only the locals though, as it has been showered with awards too, including some from national newspapers, and it’s not unusual to spot Corrie stars tucking in to their authentic Nepalese cuisine.
With the personal touch you’d expect from a family business, the welcome is warm. The menu features plenty from the tandoor grill, as well as other familiar classics. Or you can explore some Nepalese dishes that are perhaps lesser known in these parts such as Chandane dry fry or Kathmandu bhotowan. There’s plenty for seafood fans too, try options such as chargrilled mackerel, lobster masala or Sunakothi seafood.
