Wilson’s Social

Restaurant - Global

Glass-fronted bar and restaurant Wilson’s Social is part of the Selina NQ1 hostel, formerly Hatter’s. It’s a brunch, lunch and cocktail spot designed to appeal to the ‘digital nomads’, or as we used to call them, ‘backpackers’, staying in the highly Instagrammable rooms upstairs.

On the food menu you’ll find brunch staples such as avocado toast and shashuka, while typical lunches might include lamb shawarma flatbread with butterbean hummus, and a goats cheese salad with beetroot and blackberries. Drinks include classic cocktails and a sizeable range of beers on draught and in bottles.

Part of the Selina ethos is to integrate its hostels into their local community: hence the Tony Wilson reference in the name and murals of local icons such as Alan Turing on the walls. Selina is a multi-national brand but it fits in well in the NQ. Wilson’s Social is a place for Manchester’s own MacBook-carrying cocktail seekers as well as those visiting from further afield.
