

Suzy Loves Milo
Fans of Japanese fashion and popular culture flock to Suzy Loves Milo, a tucked-away vintage clothing and lifestyle store just off Stevenson Square. Formerly in Hatch, it’s been on Spear Street since 2023, selling a curated collection of streetwear and designer labels handpicked in Japan.
You’ll find a mix of Japanese designers such as Yohji Yamamoto, Issey Miyake and Bape, alongside Japanese imports of US and European brands such as Comme De Garcon and Supreme. The clothes aren’t marked with prices or organised by size which can seem a little daunting to the casual browser, especially as they range from £40 to £300. Be brave and ask if you want to know (the prices are written down in a book at the till). Even if you don’t end up buying, you’ll at least have had a nice chat with a fellow Japanese fashion enthusiast.
They might even direct you to their new shop Akaibu if you’re really into this kind of style. Situated just up the road, it translates as ‘archive’ and stocks high-end, rare pieces, all hand-sourced by owners Bobbie and Suzy.
Aside from the clothing and accessories, there are pocket-money-priced items such as Snoopy pens, fried egg crochet coasters, and other whimsical, kawaii trinkets, making it feel very browser-friendly rather than intimidating. Its cult reputation has brought names like Davina McCall, Honey Dijon and Ian Brown through the doors (big fans of Snoopy pens, all of them) so you’re in good company.
