Lily’s Deli
When the family behind the award-wining Lily’s Vegetarian decided to branch out with Lily’s Deli in Chorlton, it was a smart move – and a boon to anyone living in South Manchester.
Just down the road from the popular plant-based co-operative Unicorn, if there’s a market for meat-free Indian snacks anywhere, then it’s definitely Chorlton.
But you don’t need to be a vegetarian to enjoy the freshly-made samosas and bhajis – they’re pure quality. Definitely the way to elevate your next home curry.
If you’re cooking an Indian meal from scratch, everything you need will be on the shelves at Lily’s, from spice to rice and all things in between.
Lily’s Deli also sells the colourful Indian sweets that Lily’s is renowned for, bringing their pistachio barfi and kaju kamal inside the M60.
Lily’s Deli isn’t just the best Indian food shop in the area, it also does grab-and-go hot dishes and there’s a small cafe seating area where you can enjoy bargain manchurian toasties and masala chai.
