HOME
With five cinemas, two theatres, a bookshop, and over 500 sqm of gallery space, HOME is one of Manchester’s biggest and most dynamic arts venues.
Born out of the merger of independent cinema Cornerhouse and Central Library’s Library Theatre Company, it opened its doors in 2015 at the then-new First Street site.
Its cultural programme tends to focus on emerging and boundary-pushing artists and includes original commissions and local talent.
This is where to go if you want to catch the latest independent film, see a thought-provoking play, or immerse yourself in contemporary dance or performance art.
HOME’s restaurant, cafe, outdoor terrace and bars make it as much a social space as an arts venue. Combine a film with a pizza and a few cocktails here for a truly Mancunian afternoon out.
