Reddish Vale Farm
Ian Brown, take note. Reddish Vale Farm, on the Stockport side of Manchester, has everything you could want to keep little ones entertained, including a beach.
The main attraction though isn’t the sand but the cute animals. Kids can groom a pony, meet goats, pigs and donkeys (and meerkats) and stroke fluffy rabbits and guinea pigs. Buy a bucket of carrots on the way in and you can feed them too.
Aside from the animals, there are tractor rides, the bouncing pillows, and the adventure play areas.
Ice creams are from the renowned Grandpa Greene’s and a tea room is open at weekends. There’s also a cabin for drinks and snacks by the adventure play area (open weekends and school holidays).
Keep an eye out for special events like Easter egg hunts, Farmer Christmas experiences and dinosaur days.
