Clay Studio
Clay Studio moved to its new home in Stretford at the end of 2024, offering more space and more activities.
This community pottery space welcomes everyone, whether you’ve seen The Great Pottery Throwdown and thought it looked like good squidgy fun or you’re a ceramicist who needs a space and a kiln to build your collection.
There are weekly classes in hand-building and throwing, family clay sessions, and teen throwing workshops. Private tuition and home education sessions are also available with all the equipment included.
Ceramists and creatives can join Clay Studio as a member (either as a hobby or for commercial purposes). It’s perfect for recent graduates. You just need enough ceramics experience to work independently. Facilities include five electric kilns, eight potters’ wheels for lessons and ten for members’ use, five hand-building work surfaces, and a range of stoneware glazes.
