Courts Club
With basketball hire and live sports in the summer and ice skating in the winter, the only question we have about Courts Club is, what goes on in between?
Right now (rainy Tuesday, mid January) this largely outdoor venue is not looking great but skip forward a few weeks and it’ll be a different story. There are two courts for hire for games of tennis or basketball, lots of al-fresco seating, and a food truck from Lucky Gyros to keep you fed. Coffee comes from Extract roasters, or sip on spritzers or hard kombuchas if that’s more your thing.
There’s bench-style seating inside and a big screen showing live sports – the Superbowl and Six Nations are first up in 2025. It’s the beer garden though that’s the real attraction. With its own weatherproof screen, it’ll be a spacious (and fingers-crossed, sunny) spot to catch the Women’s Euros this summer.
In November Courts Club transforms into Winter Assembly – a Christmas ice rink and meeting spot with marshmallows a-toasting and gluhwein flowing.
Like the rest of us it takes a few weeks to come out of hibernation after the Christmas holidays but give it a minute. Wander down there or check their socials to see what’s happening this week.
