Grandpa Greene’s Luxury Ice Cream
Perched by the canal in the picturesque village of Diggle, near Oldham, Grandpa Greene’s is best known for its award-winning homemade ice cream. It’s also a warm and inviting licensed cafe with glass fronted terraces and indoor dining.
The ice cream parlour serves the full collection of Grandpa Greene’s flavours which range from the traditional vanilla pod to espresso to bubblegum. We recommend the white chocolate, or the vegan lotus biscuit. You’ve also got pancakes, sundaes, waffles, doughnuts and other sweet treats to tempt you.
In the cafe, you’ll find an extensive brunch and lunch menu including classics like eggs benedict and avocado on toast.
You can make a trip here into a family day out by combining it with a stroll along the canal, and a stop-off at the adjacent adventure playground.
