Archie’s Trafford Centre
Archie’s Trafford Centre is another of the eye-popping pink burger and shake sites from the wildly popular Manchester mini-empire. Watch out for Archie’s Atomic over the road at Trafford Palazzo too – the roller rink and burger bar is opening in Autumn 2024 and is ideal for retro dates.
If the lurid colour scheme doesn’t give you a migraine, then you’ll enjoy this Americana diner. Archie’s is known for its smashed burgers and chicken burgers, which are all halal. Top menu picks on the savoury side include the Chicken Cheetos Burger (crisps on everything is now a thing) and the Good Burger which keeps it simple but supersized.
However, it’s the sweet side that has gathered most of the acclaim, from celeb endorsements to, more depressingly, long queues. There are loaded waffles to make dentists wince such as the Kinder Rocher. It’s delicious but a full one is more than the recommended daily calorific intake for a grown woman and a child put together.
The milkshakes are what have made Archie’s. The Big Bang is a must for Jammie Dodger fans and the Billionaire goes down the chocolate and banana route. The celeb shakes get most of the love. From the Ora-licious to the Naughty Nas, A-listers are spending as much time coming up with recipes as touring. Apparently, you aren’t even a celebrity these days if you don’t have your own Archie’s shake. Confidential Guides is just waiting for the call…
