Papillon
You’ll find Papillon midway between the Anglican and Metropolitan Cathedrals on the corner of Hope Street and Faulkner Street.
It’s a quaint-looking, bistro-style restaurant, complete with baby pink paintwork and pinstripe canopy to match. In fact, it looks more like a scene on a French postcard than somewhere you’d find in the middle of Liverpool.
Papillon opens around mid-morning and serves up a range of brunch items, small plates and pub classics, plus Sunday lunches. To drink, there’s a selection of rotating guest ales, crafted cocktails and a vast collection of wines.
Dine alfresco and take in the stunning views of the Georgian Quarter. Or, if you’ve already eaten, pop in for a coffee and watch the world go by.
