Saison
Sister of Chorlton favourite Dulcimer, Saison is a cosy bar offering a wide range of craft beer and spirits. They have 16 taps and 40 odd bottles of beer on offer, including saisons, obviously, along with a well-stocked liquor cabinet boasting over 20 whiskeys as well as a range of artisan spirits.
There’s plenty to lose yourself in for the evening. To soak up all that booze, there is a seasonally changing menu of creative small plates like beer braised leeks with parmesan truffle and oatmeal crumb, or monkfish in juniper branches with tarragon brown butter.
There are all sorts of activities on the calendar too. On Sundays, they have live jazz from world-class musicians. Or if that’s not your style, pop in on a Wednesday for the pub quiz. They have also been known to hold ‘Netflix and Bake’ (!) events, where you have to bring along a TV or film-themed cake.
Dogs are welcome and may even find themselves tasting a bit of fame on the old social media channels.
