Slyce
Like its sister restaurant Muse next door, Slyce brings a taste of the city to the bucolic surroundings of Uppermill.
The menu plays on the dirty food trend with dishes such as chilli-loaded nachos, gourmet burgers, mac n cheese, chicken wings and the like. And of course, pizza (hence the name) which is served by the slice every Saturday.
Cocktails are the whimsical retro kind: pina colada, rum punch, and their modern day descendent, the pornstar martini.
Slyce’s social media describes themselves as ‘New York meets North West’. And although we can’t think of anywhere less like Brooklyn than Uppermill, the food is convincing enough to fool you otherwise for a while. Just don’t look out of the window.
