RPB Tib Street
With a fridge full of Asahi beers and a varied clientele that includes footballers, NQ hipsters and members of the Manchester underworld, RPB on Tib Street is the place to go if you want a barbering experience that’s a level above your average 15-minute Saturday morning trim.
Established by Ross Parlane in 2015, RPB has since opened a second premises on Newton Street to keep up with demand. The draw, aside from the alcohol licence and the space’s slick, retro-stylings, is the team of well-trained, talented barbers who take their craft seriously.
The prices might make some men balk (£30-£34 for a haircut) but fans say it’s worth it. Services include beard trims, clipper cuts, restyles, and kids cuts for the ultra-smart back-to-school look. It’s also popular with girls looking for short cuts and mullets.
