Taylors of Sale
Taylors of Sale has been one of the best butchers in Greater Manchester for almost 175 years. You don’t date back to Queen Victoria without doing something right.
You’ll spot this place immediately from its green awning and lengthy queues at weekends and Christmas.
People queue for the quality. All meat is high welfare, from local famers the owners know and trust. Enjoy Cheshire-reared 21-day mature beef from the Duchy of Lancaster estate in Cheshire, free-range Shropshire chickens or local lamb from farms in Haslington, Gawsworth and Congleton.
Sausages are home-made and you can also buy what we’ll call ready meals but are a world away from the ping of a microwave dinner. Favourites include Brazil pepper chicken fillets, meatloaf and Portuguese pork bifana, all made by Taylors so you don’t have to.
Service is spot on. Just ask nicely and they’ll bash out fillets for your schnitzels, cut your steaks extra thick or butterfly your chicken fillets. You could say it’s Taylor-made for your requirements.
