As well as ice skating, Planet Ice is home to Manchester Storm so you can get tickets to support your local ice hockey players. They’re a top-tier team who play in the Elite Ice Hockey League so there’s always a good atmosphere.

And if the razzle dazzle of sequins and figure skating appeals to you, the pantomimes-on-ice at Altrincham will certainly impress. 2024’s offering sees Aladdin and the Genie take to the ice for a skating twist on the festive favourite. It’s almost guaranteed that Widow Twanky will fall over at least once.
