Doctor Duncan’s
Doctor Duncan’s is named after Britain’s first Medical Health Officer, William Henry Duncan, who was born and raised in Liverpool. Its ornate, beautifully tiled interior makes it one of the North West’s most gorgeous pubs.
Originally built for Pearl Insurance, the decorated arches and roaring fires now create a welcoming environment that manages to be both grand and cosy at the same time.
Behind the bar you’ll find all manner of regularly changing well-chosen craft ales from a Biscoff stout to a coffee IPA. Not sure what to try? The friendly staff can point you in the right direction or you can enjoy a beer flight that lets you learn more about the range of ales available.
Football is shown and there are matchday deals too with a burger and a pint for a tenner. Casual pub food is available but it’s the quality of the beer and the atmosphere that draws people in.
What could be better than nursing an oatmeal stout by the fire as the rain hammers down outside?
Open: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun
