Opera Grill
Housed in a Grade II Listed building with a neo-classical facade, Chester’s Opera Grill is a grand, 400-seater restaurant from Individual Restaurants (the team behind Piccolino and the Restaurant Bar and Grill).
The charcoal grill and wood-burning ovens give a depth of flavour and tenderness to the menu of well-sourced steaks and seafood. You’ll find modern British dishes such as wild venison fillet and slow-cooked ox cheek, and eclectic options from around the world: yellowfish tuna sashami for example, and miso black cod with pickled red onion and rice.
You can dine on a heated outdoor terrace if you like (with a canopy for if the weather lets you down). Plus there are various, characterful spaces for special events, meetings and conferences. It makes a stunning venue for wedding receptions and parties.
Stay for a couple of cocktails after your meal and enjoy live acts every Friday. Head there on a Sunday for roast dinner and you’ll catch the Opera Grill’s gospel choir performing soulful classics.
