Slim Chickens Trafford Centre
Popular for cheap eats, Slim Chickens Trafford Centre is one of the mall’s better options with everything cooked to order and 13 different sauces for a DIY dunking sesh.
Unlike similar chicken shops, the focus is on American flavour with meals all served with Texas toast (think a more highly-seasoned version of British breakfast staple, fried bread) as well as fries, a bottomless soft drink and those Slim Chickens sauces.
Choose from buttermilk chicken tender meals, crispy wing meals or a mix-up of the two with chicken sandwich meals also available. There are some lighter wraps and salads too as a half-hearted nod to healthy eating.
The sauces are very good with the blue cheese and the buffalo both getting the Confidentials thumbs-up. The cayenne ranch and the Korean BBQ are also decent if you like a bit of heat while ‘the inferno’ is just for people who think eating is some sort of testosterone contest.
At the very least, it makes a change from Nando’s.
