If you’re heading out to eat in Cheshire, there’s a good chance you’re going to a country pub. This largely rural county excels when it comes to classic dishes centred on locally-grown produce and served under low beams.
The other half of Cheshire’s food scene caters for residents who want a more cosmopolitan dining experience without having to trek into Manchester or Liverpool. In its affluent towns, particularly in the ‘Golden Triangle‘ between Wilmslow, Alderley Edge and Prestbury, you’ll find some very good Italian restaurants and a few stand-out modern British places too.
