Carrington Riding Centre
Carrington Riding Centre offers lessons to children and adults with a stable of good-natured horses and ponies ready to ride.
It’s just minutes from the M60 but situated in open countryside so there are plenty of off-road hacking routes. Once you’ve mastered the canter, there are more advanced group lessons on a Monday evening. To really perfect your technique, you can book a session on the top-of-the-range simulator.
If you’re new to horse riding or haven’t ridden in a long time, you need to book a private lesson. Children who are more confident riders can learn polocrosse, a combination of polo and lacrosse.
As well as horse riding, Carrington Riding Centre works with children who are disengaged from mainstream school, training them to work with horses or dogs in an outdoor environment. The centre is part of Carrington Equine College which offers City & Guilds qualifications in partnership with Trafford College.
