Kargo MKT
Kargo MKT is a huge food hall in Salford Quays where 20 street food traders ply their trade.
With a waterfront terrace and a party atmosphere, it’s one of the most popular places in the neighbourhood which, until recently, has never exactly been spoilt for choice with dining destinations.
The food options are many and varied with a number of the traders already award-winners (or at least nominees).
Feast on everything from authentic Italian sandwiches or schiacciata to Korean bibimbap. It’s a truly global experience with the cuisines of Palestine, Eritrea and Ethiopia, Italy, Burma, India, Mexico, China, Greece, Vietnam, Korea and the Caribbean all represented. As well as good old Lancashire beef.
Kargo MKT is open for coffee and laptop graft from 9am and food is served from 12pm. There are also cocktails and craft beers. It’s a sociable place with plenty of events from DJ nights to family-friendly craft and disco sessions. Dogs are welcome too, but maybe not at a rave.
