FIX MCR
Located in the NQ, FIX MCR is a sauna and ice bath club with a seven-day schedule of guided and free-flow sessions. It’s one of the more expensive options in Manchester city centre but it’s also one of the most luxurious, so the price tag feels about right.
It’s a very inviting space, especially on a cold, grey Manchester day. FIX MCR feels like a spa with low, calming lighting, plush, warm changing rooms, and towels included in the price (handy if you don’t want to carry yours around all day).
There’s just one, large traditional cedar sauna rather than several smaller ones. Seated classes are held inside it, covering everything from gentle stretching to sound healing to gua sha. Book into a free-flow session if you prefer to relax and recharge at your own pace.
Across the corridor are two blue-lit ice baths kept at a skin-tingling four and ten degrees or thereabouts. There’s also a spacious relaxation room with herbal tea and water where you can take time out between the hot and cold.
